The first thing of prophecy started with the Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him) as said by Isha (may Allah be pleased with her) was: "Good dream, that was anything He dreamt would come true in a day light, then He loved loneliness as He used to stay alone in the cave of Heera where He worships through meditation for many days and nights before returning to His family (Khadija) in order to prepare for another trip to the cave. He was in this situation until the light of truth came to Him while He was in the Cave, as Angel Jibril came to Him and asked Him to read, but He said to him (Jibril): I could not read, then the Prophet (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him) said: he grasped me strongly and released me again and said read, and I said: I could not read. Then he grasped me for the second time until it hurt me and he released me and said read, I told him that I could not read. He grasped for the third time and released me and he said: "recite in the name of your Lord who created. He created man from a clinging substance. Recite and your Lord is the most Generous"
He (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him) was frightened, and He (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him) returned to his wife Khadija (may Allah be pleases with her) trembling with fear and said to her cover me! cover me! and they covered Him until He was at ease He explained to her what has happened to Him, and He said: I am afraid may be something will happen to me. Then Khadija said: No I swear by Allah, He will not disgrace you; because you follow up relatives, you bore yourself in helping others, you attain to the needy, and lodge stranger and you always stand by the right.
Then Khadija straight away took Him to Waragat bn Nawfal bn Asad bn Abdul Uzza (a brother and a son of her uncle), who was a Christian bishop during that era of ignorance, and who writes the Bible in hibru, he writes the new testament what ever Allah allowed him to write at that time. He was an old man who has blind; and Khadija said to him, listen to your nephew. Then Waragat said to Him, O my nephew what do you see? He (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him) explained to him all what had happened and what He had seen. Then Waragat said: this was the kind of law that Allah brought down to Prophet Musa; had I were young, and had I would be there when your people will chase you out of your town. Then the Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him) said: would they chase me and send me out of my town? He said yes, no one will bring to his people what you are bring to them except they hate him and become enemies to him. If I would be there when you will be sent I will help greatly. But Waragat died very shortly after that, and the revelation stopped for a while.
There are many educational, social and religious benefits in the prefaces of the sending of the prophet (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him) such as, good preparation and well planning, also the importance of gradual advance in undertakings and not in haste. As one can see that from the way Allah the Most Gracious and Who is purified from any associate and can just say to things be and they be the way He wanted them to be, He prepared His Prophet (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him) for forty years, in His special care passing through many acts such as: doing operation on His (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him) chest, taking care of Him as an Orphan and He guided him and saved Him from idol worshipping and worshipers, and He set his grandfather(Abdul Muttalilb) and his uncle (Abi Talib) to love Him, take care of Him and help Him greatly even more than the way they take care and help their children.
From what has past we can see how importance is to plan, to gradual advancement, and good preparation before starting anything and it is important to benefit from this precept in the fields of education, administration, business and social mobilization. As we can benefit from what Allah the Creator Had done this precept in preparing His Messenger for long before He sent Him to deliver His message to the worlds.
This shows how importance is to train and educate a child with good education and preparation before he or she faces different aspects of life. This is the right path of any father who wants to see his children in future well trained and educated. Because failing to do that, and hoping to see them straightforward and well behaved is contrary to the tradition of the Prophet (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him) and way of life.
Again, if an administrator will only look for well trained workers when the need arise for that without fore or previous training is a day dreamer and that is contrary to what is known and used in administrative fields.
Also it is the same if a propagandist of Islam wishes a reclamation of the nation through speeches and preaching with taking into consideration the precept of fore preparation and readiness, that is considered to be the key factor of what prepare human being properly, and that is education and reaching to him gradually will not succeed in his propagation. As sentimental preaching will only encourage someone and push him to perform something, but will not educate him. Also education only will not be fruitful except it includes sentimental preaching. So the two precepts go side by side as no one is independent from the other
That is why Allah the Almighty prepared the Muslim nation properly before He forbade wine (alcohol) and made them abstain from it since they had used to it until it has become part of their food and drinks in the ignorant era. That is why the Almighty sent many verses in the Holy Qur'an as He said: "And from the fruits of the palm trees and grapevines you take intoxicant and good provision" Suratul Annahli verse (67).
Then the second verse was His saying: "They ask you about wine and gambling. Say, "In them is great sin and (yet, some) benefit for people. But their sin is greater".
Then the third step came wherein Allah said in the Qur'an: "O you who have believed, do not approach prayer while you are intoxicated until you know what you are saying".
Then finally, after this gradual readying in stopping intoxicant Allah sent the order to stop it henceforth as He said: "O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, (sacrificing on) stone alters (to other than Allah), and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of satan, no avoid it that you may be successful".
For anything that needs to be prepared for before undertaking it Allah had made it easy for us so that we can learn how to educate and to call for Islam in a best possible way.
Preparation and planning for anything may be needed partly in it as just in the case of the law of the wine, and it can also be needed wholly as in the saying of the mother of believers Isha (may Allah be pleased whit her): "The first thing descended from the Qur'an was a short chapter describing the heaven and the hell fire until when the people embraced Islam firmly, then the shari'a law started coming down saying this is legal and right and that is not right and it is forbidding. If the first thing to come were to forbade wine, the people would have said no: we would not stop drinking rum (wine) forever, had it were to forbade adultery, they would have said no: we would not stop adultery forever".
That is why the husband who wants his wife to be a governess and good caretaker of children according to the way Allah wants it which is the right, is supposed in the first place to prepare her well through choosing a good wife and then directing her and making her to use good morals, and to behave well, and perform the right way. Again he must teach her educational methods of training so that she can know exactly what is to be done appropriately. With this she can be a good mother and educate her children to be good people.
Again if anyone wants his wife to be chaste and secure the rights of her husband in anything so far he should prepare her for that before casting blames on her, instead he should teach her, educate and direct her through educational ways of the Prophet (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon Him) which will make impact in the life of a good woman and persuade her to follow the right willingly and not push her far from it.
To conclude preparation is a legal sunnah (a prophetic way of life), that is why it is compulsory to consider it and practice it. And it is good to apply it in different and similar perspectives of daily life.
